The dream I had about my Name...

Sometimes the dreams you may have during the sleep are interesting and fascinating too. Often we forgot most of the sequential events happened in the dream, but remember a few after we wake up. I want to tell you an interesting dream I had (I think I am going to remember this date 11/23/2015). This is the dream about how I got my name as Vajra. Before going into the story let me tell you how I got my name actually.  According to my parents, my tatayya(My Father’s father) proposed the name as Vajra Kanth. It’s my mother who suggested the name to be as Deep instead of Kanth(In Indian Context Kanth and Deep means Light) and so that's how I got the name as Vajra Deep.

Coming to the Subject….I had a Dream
In the dream I saw my grandfather writing on the black board (He was a Teacher by profession) explaining how he proposed my name and how Vajra is related to Gandhi. I don’t really remember the complete dream but I know he also said about the river. The first thing I done after I got up is Google as Vajra and Gandhi. I don’t see any direct relation with these names.  But something astonished me after going through some other websites especially Wikipedia.

As many of you know Vajra means Diamond or Thunder storm. In Hindu mythology, Vajra is also the weapon of Lord Indra.

So how did Lord Indra have the weapon Vajra?
There were many stories about this, but the major one is relating to Sage Dadhichi.
Sage Dadhichi is the son of Antharvan who created the Antharveda(One of the Vedas of 4 vedas).According to the story Lord Indra(King of all Devas) was driven out of Devaloka(Swarga,Heaven) by Serpent king named Vritra an Asura (Demigod with Bad qualities). Vritra has a blessing that he can’t be killed by any weapon (of Metal or Wood). Losing the hope on the Kingdom, Lord Indra approached Lord Shiva for help. Lord Shiva indeed couldn’t help and both along with Bramha went to Lord Vishnu to seek help. Vishnu said that only the weapon made from bones of Sage Dadhichi can kill Vritra. That’s how all devas went to Sage Dadhichi for the aid to kill Vritra. Without selfishness Sage Dadhichi sacrificed his life for the Devas so that weapon Vajra can be prepared through his bones. That’s how Lord Indra executed the Seprent King Vritra through the weapon Vajra.

Also India’s highest Military Award Param Vir Chakra is awarded for highest bravery or self-sacrifice. This Award has the replica of the weapon Vajra. Sage Dadhichi had a wife named Swarcha and Son Pippalada. Rishi Pippalada established many ashrams. One of the main Ashram is in a place called Misrikh in Uttar Pradesh. Sabarmati Ashram (In Ahmadabad) was also one of the ancient sites established by Pippalada.

So what does the story enlighten me?
Sabarmati Ashram which was an ancient site established by Pippalada is the same ashram Gandhi used to live during pre-Independence era. This is the ashram which is located in banks of Sabarmati River (This may be the river my Grand Father is talking about in the dream). May be the subject doesn’t have any direct context but indirectly there is a connection with the nouns Vajra and Gandhi.  Don’t you guys felt interesting of what you have read till now? I felt very fascinating about the dream and so couldn’t resist to write down as a memory to be remembered every Year ( Nov 23).  Thank you for coming into my dream Tatayya. Where ever you are in the sky, hope you are shining as a star. And yes I don’t forgot you. I know how I learnt many things from you.

Zindagi Kaala Hain

Ankhon ke peeche aasoo hain
Mann ki gaharahi mein Dardh hain
Lekin Chehre ki Muskurahat kam nahi hothe

Shaam toh guzaar gayi
Raat toh aagayi
Lekin Zindagi ki gaadi chalthi hi hain

Raath toh Andhera hain,Saath mein rakshas hain
Haath ka nishana ,Laath ka peetai
Anth tak toh rehtha yeh Narak

Paani  ka Leher hoon mein
Kanch ka tukuda hoon mein
Toot gaya mera khwaab ye zindagi ke bazaar mein

Baatoh ki Pravah Chup Jathi hain
Saas mein darr baitha hain
Raathh toh Kaalihain, lekin Din bhi Kaala Hain,

THE SECRET - In Search of Treasure

This post has been published by me as a part of Blog-a-Ton 56; the fifty-sixth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write.

Hurray I found it. Hurray I found it shouted Krishna when he found the box for the treasure.

Krishna lives in a tribal village called Trissapur. Krishna and his troop are involved in the treasure hunt for almost a decade from now. The people here are facing with troubles. The remote village constraint made the village to suffer from many problems. The literacy rate is less, there is no proper electricity, the lands are barren and it’s hard for the farmers to produce the necessary crops. There has been many times the village head petitioning the government officials about the village but the promise from them is not always fruitful. The villagers have seen the political leaders only during the 5 years term of elections. Situations are becoming worse day by day. They need to travel miles for the water and for household needs. With much problems about the Village being said there were also rumors about this village of having treasures.

Krishna’s fore fathers only know the existence of treasure in this village. But they don’t know where exactly the treasure is? Krishna’s family is committed for the search of the Treasure. From Great grandfathers to grandfather and from grandfather to his father and from his father the job was fell under hands of Krishna.  Its Only Krishna family always looking for the treasure hunt as Krishna knew the history of the treasure from his father. Krishna don’t want to find the treasure not for himself but wants to pour all the found treasure to the village needs.

During a hike to nearby mountains with his friends made him to find a huge rock. Hey Shashank look over there, don’t you think it’s a cave said Krishna pointing the finger to the rock?  How can you say it’s a cave and more ever it looks like a huge rock said Shashank? I don’t know. I have my own doubts. We have tried our best for the Treasure and we didn’t find any luck till now. Let’s don’t give up our hopes said Krishna. With much suspense all guys reached near the big rock.  See, I told you it’s not cave. It’s just a huge rock! Shashank said with intensified tone.

Yad Bhavam Tad Bhavathi uttered Krishna. What do you mean said Shashank?  I believe what I think replied Krishna. OK let’s get into work guys said Krishna. Veeru you be in the front and we will be in the back. Let’s push the rock little bit so that we can know something can lead to the treasure. With much effort everyone tried their best but no luck. They couldn’t able to move the elephantine rock.  I told you its rock you have to believe me said Shashank again. Everyone went back to home and on their way back home everyone sensed that Krishna is more worried about his failure. After the dinner he went to the bed early. He is still thinking of what will be the back of the rock? Is it still a rock or something hidden back of the rock? He just want to get the facts out of what he saw. He woke up quickly from the bed and went to the garage. He is really looking for something specific. Where is it? I just saw that one recently. Did my father kept somewhere? Yes I found it, here it is. He grabbed the hand drilling machine. It’s too late to go back to mountains now. I will go early in the morning Krishna whispered himself. He soon went into sleep again.

The box is completely metal.  He couldn’t open the box as it has a jumbo lock. He couldn’t even break the metal one with driller too. He returned back with the box with passion and pride to the house. I found it. I found it Krishna shouted on his way back. The villagers felt happy too about his search. They believed their happiness will come back and all the problems will be solved based on the treasure. Everyone followed towards Krishna’s house. This time Krishna as well as his father is determined and confident that they found the treasure. All the answers of the treasures will be in box is what they believed. They called the welder from the town to open the Metal box lock. As its remote village it takes around half a day to the welder to reach the Tribal village. Celebrations in the village started early even before the box was opened.  At last the Welder came and he is busy in opening the box.

The job is done sir uttered the welder. Krishna and his father went near the box. Open the box Krishna, Raghavaih said. With much shiver in hands Krishna slowly opened the box. He found a piece of plain paper inside the box. He unfolded the letter and glared at words written in the letter. With surprise look and confusion he showed the letter to his father. THE SECRET is what is written inside the letter and nothing else. Now its Raghavaih turn to look surprised and confused. Both father and son looked at their face each other with disappointment and they looked at the villagers from the window. The villagers are continuing their dances and shouting with excitement about the treasure. What the hell is this SECRET Raghavaih shouted.

To be continued... (The Fulfillment - Found of  the Treasure)

An Act of Keeping Myself Happy

The more I think of what to do, the more I go into depth of what to write. After prolonged sessions of thinking I came to withstand with a topic of being human being. Sorry erase that let’s talk about movies. Hmm most of my posts are movies why can’t I change the topic to some other interesting stuff. Hmm How about food then? Hmm yeah I try to go deep into the aromatic and delicacy of food thinking of the food. But, naah! Let’s not get into food now. Thinking of food more and more makes me to run into kitchen to grab more of junkie in my tummy. How about Music then? Yes music is a great way to keep myself boosted with more spirit and increase the spirit to think of more to write.  Not just writing but music is the metaphor of many events and actions. For an instance the Instrumental music or any slow music you play when you cook make you to get interested in cooking with more excitement. Same applies when you listen to the Classical Music or Blissful music when you meditate, write or read. The variations of the music from different genres have different flow of music. I like mostly the medley type as well as the music which makes me to flow in the tranquility of life. To be frank I don’t have any basics in music ragas but all in all I feel happy of what I am listening and what makes me happy. There is so much to write of music but let me put comma for now. J  Will write more and more on the Music subject in near future. Yes for me Music is an act of keeping myself Happy. For now I am listening to the Sound track of Life of Pi by Mychael Danna. How about you guys?

If you want to listen the Sound track of Life of Pi you can listen here

Srimanthdu Strikes a Chord

Cast – Mahesh Babu, Shruthi Hasan, Sukanya, Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore etc
Director/Story/Screenplay/Dialogues -  Koratala Siva (Mirchi Fame)
Produced by - Mythri Movie makers & Co Produced by – Mahesh Babu (అవునండి!
Cinematography – R. Madhie (Mirchi and Run Raja Run fame)
Music – Devi Sri Prasad
Lyrics – Rama Jogaih Sastry
Released on – 08/7/2015

Do I remember any of the earlier movies where Mahesh Babu portrayed as a rich, affluent guy? May be or may not? But Srimanthudu is the movie I may remember in future as he is shown as a rich guy. Jokes a part coming to the film Koratala Siva increased the expectations through the teaser when Mahesh Babu is shown riding the bicycle. The trailer though looks simple but the presence of the character (Jagapathi babu) and cinematography (Madhie) and few catchy dialogues raised the expectations. The expectations didn’t fail though when the movie arrived. If you have brilliant actors like Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Mukesh Rushi , Sampath Raj along with the leading pair why would a film be a failure? Also as said many times story is the key to success but the key for the story is perfect screenplay.

Imagine the world with no villages. It’s hard to imagine the thought. I consider the Villages as Villas to the common man. May be because of advance in globalization and employment aspects many people are failed to remember the village and their roots. As told the impact of globalization and urban migration making the village to suffer. Scarcity in rainfall, SEZ’s, industrial pollutions may be considered as other reasons.

And now Koratala siva brought back the powerful subject through శ్రీ మంతుడు. Villages are the roots to the cultural values.

Mahesh babu as always is radiant with performance and stylish in looks. Shruthi Hasan too improved from the better to best standards. The wonderful duo Jagapathi Babu and Sukanya presence made me to go back to the classical movie Peddarikam. The sheer performance of Rajendra Prasad also made me to remember his Onamalu movie. The captain of the ship Koratala Siva Thank you sir for the wonderful subject. Though all songs are good, but one song which I admire most and in the loop again and again Cinematography from Madhie is seriously impressive.

No wonder, there are many village adoptions by celebrities for the model villages Scheme. Sachin Tendulkar adopted Puttam Raju Kandriga Village in Potti Sri Ramulu Nellore district. Mahesh Babu too adopted Burripalem (His Father Super Star Krishna born here) and few other celebrities adopted the villages too. Thanks to Narendra Modi for bringing the Sansaad Adarsh Gram Yojana scheme. ఊరు బాగుంటే దేశం బాగుంటుందిసినిమా చూసాక అర్ధం అయ్యింది ఏంటి అంటే శ్రీ మంతుడు అంటే Rich అని కాదు, but how reliable we are to the society for the development . What an apt title I say.

Life without proper vision to our personal happiness is worthless to being alive  in this routine world. Tensions are like the Twitter trending hash-tags to every human being today.  I feel pallid and uninteresting if I don't  encourage my interests and passion towards the arts of my love. Weather it is a Movie or a Series, Cooking, Writing for ones self, Trying hard to get the path of Reading, Hiking etc. All thoughts attack on my mind on what to do now? Do I need to continue watch the movie that I had planned for long time to watch? Do I need to read the book which was pending from several weeks? Do I need to continue watching the series of Sherlock Holmes? Do I need to cook something? Hit the gym for sake of being healthy? Watch Cricket? What not..many things that we want to do to make our selves happy.  I don't know whether it happens to everyone or just me , all in all my mind hits with many thoughts!  Laziness will be more active when it comes to Personal things to do for the sake of Professional growth along with the Art of things of what to do in the same pace. Oh yeah did I tell you that meditation is also one of the thing I'm trying to put in my self interest? Yeah its been a long time friend of my mind always strikes like shall I start practicing today? Looks like my pending friend what I call it as Meditation is on track now.

Thanks to #ucla #hammer mindfulness weekly meditation program. The Instructor,Speaker Diana Winston really makes us  the impact of being to practice the mindfulness through meditation. By the way Mindfulness is paying to the present movement experiences with openness, curiosity and willingness to what it is according to Diana Winston. I lost into many thoughts , I may be floating in thoughts of what to do?  But I am comfortable to say may be I am choosing the right thought at right time. May be time management makes it more vital to balance the multiple thoughts. And no,  this is not just for my personal goals or my interests, meditation helps to balance our body as well as more productivity to think of what we want to achieve.  Come on , I don't  need to understand what meditation and importance is? You may all know its importance. Really? you don't know what it is? Are you unaware of what would be the experience of having more joy for rainbow colors in your life? Now its time for you to practice the meditation. I am also following the practice of Mindfulness through App called #Calm in my phone. Thanks to my fellow Colleague, friend Jomarr for introducing to this app. Hope I will continue to practice the Meditation for what I call it as the joy to jingle the bells of life with more passion and fun and spreading happiness to the world.

There is also article which published recently in NY-times about the Mindfulness Program that I attend weekly in UCLA Hammer Museum. Check here

Weekend Matters

Like many, I am one such guy, always awaits for the weekend. Some opt the weekend for Good sleep. Some want their weekend to be fun hanging or hitting the maximum time out doors. Most of my weekends are filled with fun spending the zesty time with friends. This weekend also has the same effect like my other weekends  and the main reason for my writing is to discuss about the two amazing movies I watched this weekend. Yes for me weekend is the life of serenity. The peace of love and bliss of  life for me is Movies,Writing, Playing,Cooking etc.

#Shamitabh (Hindi)
So why I eagerly waited to watch this movie?

1. Director R. Balki has successful history in movie making ( Cheeni Kum and Paa)
2. Amitabh and Dhanush are the lead roles
3. Ilayaraja's Music ..oh yeah BGM is amazing too
4. Kamal Hassan's younger daughter Akshara Hassan's debut as actress.

Sometimes reasons are the pivotal points for the movie to be watched for. And my reasons didn't made me disappointed but pleased me and proved that as long as there is life in the story and characters the movie never fails. What an amazing performance from Amitabh and Dhanush.! Shamitabh gives you the shimmering experience of spell bound performances from Amazing Amitabh and Dazzling Dhanush.

Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju (Telugu)

If Shamitabh is the silence of soul, Sharwanand and Nitya menon starrer Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju is the vision of boundless thoughts of simple story in classical way. Fed up with the noisy movies with more hype on actors rather than subject. Director Kranthi Madhav proved that movie can be successful if the story telling process is well enough to connect to the hearts and actors performance is natural. Though Sharwand and Nitya acted with high spirits , Nitya Menon earned few more acting credits over Sharwanand. Other than slight weightage of extra conversations from Nitya at the end , the movie is flawless for worthful watch. Melodious music from Gopi Sundar added extra euphoria to the ears.

The opportunity of watching the movies that you missed or in pending list to watch can be done in weekend and I have done this by watching Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Parinda.  Movies are not only matter to discuss but also food which is no let down to me this weekend. All the 3 nights ended with delightful dinners in the name of Biryani. As said Reasons are the starred points , for me the Reason for the delightful dinner is Biryani.  There are many matters of factors to make your weekends colorful and bring bliss to your life. But on a whole weekend matters!

The Soul

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 50; the fiftieth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. In association with Soulmates: Love without ownership by Vinit K Bansal. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton

Thursday evening 6:00 PM
The curtains raised. Audience are so eager to watch the drama on Shivaji. Oh yeah the stage drama started

Mother -  My son, Prince
Shivaji  -  Mother! Why do you always call me as Prince
Mother - Because you will be a King once you are a grown up my child
Shivaji - Silence for 5 seconds (The mother whispers in low voice Shiva now it’s your turn….Speak up my boy). The boy couldn't come out from his silence state. Somehow the management team pulled the boy outside and restarted the show replacing him with other kid. The evening show ended in passable way.

On the same night
The windows are howling and doors are slightly squeaking due to stormy winds.  The boy under his comforter shivering with legs trembling and this is not due to windy weather. He remembered the evening incident where he didn't performed well on the stage. He developed a great sense of Inferiority Complex factor raising the complex questions about his poor performance in the last show. The boy is not ready to go to sleep soon.  He is thinking the same incident again and again. Somehow he went to sleep and God appeared in his dream.

God - Child, I see you are in so troubled situation! What happened to you Child?
Boy - I couldn't perform well on the stage. I want to be Chatrapathi Shivaji. But due to my low self-esteem I am not attaining the confidence to speak up on stage.
God – Oh Boy, don’t worry! Just Speak to your soul.
The God disappears. Suddenly the Boy wakes up.

The boy’s mother saw him. He was so moody. She asked him the reason behind the moodiness. The boy said about his poor performance in the last evening show. Mother I am in fear that I may lose my all confidence completely. What should I do? How should I make myself to look like Shivaji? I want to fulfill my Father wish. I’m feeling down.

Mother realized the pain in his heart. Mother’s eyes became moist thinking of her Husband.
Son, do you know why your name is Shiva?  Because your father likes Shivaji and so your name is Shiva. You are already Shivaji to us. So whatever you want to do just talk to your soul. Your soul will respond to you. Don’t lose your heart. (She told in high pitched voice)

The Boy was surprised after listening to his Mother words. He heard that magic word again that God had told in his dream last night. Speak to your soul. Also the energetic words from his mother made the Boy to go back into the history of Chatrapathi Shivaji. He saw Chatrapathi’s Mother Jijabai in his mother. He knew that Jijabai is the first mentor to Chatrapathi as a Mother.

Influenced by his Mother words the boy went back to his room and started thinking about the soul. He thought much about the soul. Who can be his soul other than himself? He inflicted the same question again and again to himself. He still couldn't find the answer. With much rage the boy shouted Oh soul! Where are you? Are you listening me? Speak up!  Talk to me. Are you coward like me hiding somewhere? His voice came down to cry from anger. Oh friend! Please show up! I need answers from you.  He knelt down and sobbed.

Suddenly the Boy saw his Father picture on the wall. He remembered how his father used to give a stage performance with his dynamic voice and flawless motions in acting. His father has always a dream that his son will gain more applauds and praises over him in acting.  Papa is you the Shivaji the Great in the showI will act like you when I become big. I will be Shivaji too. The father’s eyes are expressing the happy proud movements when his little darling kid talking with greater joy and self-confidence.  You will be my Son. You will sure become Shivaji one day, Father exclaimed with more joy and kissed his son on cheeks.

Reminiscence of the father incident made the boy’s eyes brimming with tears. I found my soul, the boy burst out with joy. His father is his soul. He realized he can be succeeded only if he follows his father acting. He watched all his father’s various dramas from the father’s collection rack. He meditated for his Father wish. He practiced the drama again and again through meditation. He developed strong sense of courage and commitment.

After two days
The show is about to start soon again. The Drama squad can see some sort of enigma in Boy’s face. The master had a silence look over boy. The look seems to be a question like Are you ready to perform? The master got the answer from boy’s eyes and confidence factor.
Curtains raised again. The show started. There entered the two characters (Shivaji and Jijabai)

Mother - Shivaji My son, Prince!
Shivaji - Mother! Why you always call me as Prince
Mother - Because you will be a King once you are a grown up my child
Shivaji - (This time the boy didn’t stood silent) But Maa, Kings always sit on thrones we don’t have any thrones in our home. How can I become a king?
Mother smiles after listening to Son’s innocence talk
Mother - We will get it only if you achieve on your own my son.
Shivaji  - How can I achieve this Mother?
(Now comes other character, The Guru of Chatrapathi Shivaji Dadaji Kondev)
Shivaji  - Pranam Guruji and then shiva bows down to his feet)
Guru     - Pranam Shiva! If you are good servant to the people, automatically all people will be your sevaks. You will become a great warrior
Shivaji  - Maa, who is warrior?
Mother - Warrior is one who protects his kingdom and people. Help the people who are needy. Abides all the principles of laws. Shows same equality to rich and poor.
Guru - Shivaji, did you listened what your Mother told. Complete you’re training soon and you will be a warrior soon. Come let’s go for the training.
Shivaji - Avashya Guruji! Training is the dharma to be taken by every boy. I will be a warrior soon (Shouts more dynamically).
Before going Shivaji takes blessings from her Mother. Pranam Mataji
Mother - Jeethe raho beta! (Long Live my Son). My son will become king one day she uttered

This time the drama was vibrant and electrifying.  Many appreciated whistles are made by audience throughout the show whenever the little kid as Shivaji shown dominance in his acting. This show is like a festival. I felt that I really saw Shivaji here while watching the drama answered one of the speakers from bench. He asked the Boy, How did you managed to perform splendidly compared to previous one in short span? What changed your mood?  I am following my soul, the boy answered. The crew as well as the audience gave a big round of applause. The boy knew that there are two other people who are so happier at this time. One is his father looking from heavens and other one is his Mother sitting in front row of the stage.  People may thought that his soul as his conscience but according to the boy his soul  is his Father.
