Do I remember any of the earlier movies where Mahesh Babu portrayed as a rich,affluent guy? May be or may not? But Srimanthudu is the movie I may remember in future as he is shown as a rich guy. బాబు చిట్టి !…శ్రీమంతుడు అంటే రిచ్ అని అర్ధం.అందుకే మహేష్ బాబు రిచ్గా కనిపించాడు.ఓహ్ అలాగా ..  దూకుడు సినిమాలో చెప్పినట్టు క్యారెక్టర్ చాలా రిచ్ గా ఉంటుంది అంటే ఇదే ఏమో? Jokes a part coming to the film Koratala Siva increased the expectations through the teaser when Mahesh Babu is shown riding the bicycle. The trailer though looks simple but the presence of the character (Jagapathi babu) and cinematography (Madhie) and few catchy dialogues raised the expectations.The expectations didn’t fail though when the movie arrived. If you have brilliant actors like Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Mukesh Rushi , Sampath Raj along with the leading pair why would a film be a failure? Also as said many times story is the key to success but the key for the story is perfect screenplay.  

Imagine the world with no villages. It’s hard to imagine the thought. I consider the Villages as Villas to the common man. May be because of advance in globalization and employment aspects many people are failed to remember the village and their roots. అప్పట్లో మన ఊర్లు ఎంత బాగుండేవి. ఆ పలకరింపులు, పచ్చటి పొలాలు,నిండిన చెరువులు,చెట్టు కింద ముచ్చట్లు,ఊరు అంత సంబరంగా జరుపుకునే పండుగలు.ఆహ! తలుచుకుంటేనే హాయిగా ఉంది. కానీ ఇప్పుడు ఊరు గురించి  తలుచుకుంటే దిగులుగా ఉంది, As told the impact of globalization and urban migration making the village to suffer. పాపం మాట్లాడుకోవడానికి, ప్రజలే కాదు చెట్లు కూడా కనుమరుగు అవుతున్నాయి. Scarcity in rainfall, SEZ’s, industrial pollutions may be considered as other reasons. 

ఆ మధ్య ఊరు ప్రాముఖ్యత  గురించి  Ashutosh Gowarkar హిందీలో స్వదేస్(Lead role by Shahrukh Khan) తీసాడు. ఈ మధ్య తెలుగులో క్రాంతి మాధవ్ గారు ఓనమాలు(Lead role by Rajendra Prasad) సినిమా తీసాడు. And now Koratala siva brought back the powerful subject through శ్రీ మంతుడు. నిజంగా చెప్పాలి అంటే Villages are the roots to the cultural values. Internet ప్రపంచానికి connect చేస్తుంది కావచ్చు, కానీ నా దృష్టిలో ఊరు Cultural valuesకి connect చేస్తుంది.

Mahesh babu as always is radiant with performance and stylish in looks. Shruthi Hasan too improved from the better to best standards. The wonderful duo Jagapathi Babu and Sukanya presence made me to go back to the classical movie Peddarikam. The sheer performance of Rajendra Prasad also made me to remember his Onamalu movie. The captain of the ship Koratala Siva గురించి ఎంత పొగిడిన తక్కువే. Thank you sir for the wonderful subject. Commercial elementsని పక్కన పెడితే,ఈ సినిమా చూసినంత సేపు ఆ నాటి పాత మధుర సినిమాలు గుర్తుకు వచ్చాయి. ఎందుకు అంటారా? ప్రతి 15 - 20 నిమిషాలకు మన ఆలోచనలకి ప్రేరణ కలిగించే విధంగా తీసిన సందేశాత్మిక సన్నివేశాలే దానికి కారణం. Though all songs are good, but one song which I admire most and in the loop again and again అని చెప్పాలంటే అది పోరా శ్రీ మంతుడా పో పోరా శ్రీ మంతుడా. ముఖ్యంగా  ఋణము తీర్చే తరుణం ఇదిర , కిరణమై పద పదరా అనే లైన్, wow what a beautiful line! Cinematography from Madhie is seriously impressive. 

No wonder, there are many village adoptions by celebrities for the model villages Scheme. Sachin Tendulkar adopted Puttam Raju Kandriga Village in Potti Sri Ramulu Nellore district. Mahesh Babu too adopted Burripalem (His Father Super Star Krishna born here) and few other celebrities adopted the villages too. Thanks to Narendra Modi for bringing the Sansaad Adarsh Gram Yojana scheme. ఊరు బాగుంటే దేశం బాగుంటుంది. సినిమా చూసాక అర్ధం అయ్యింది ఏంటి అంటే శ్రీ మంతుడు అంటే Rich అని కాదు, but how reliable we are to the society for the development . What an apt title I say. శ్రీ మంతుడు కేవలం సినిమా కాదు అది ఒక సంకల్పం. పోరా శ్రీ మంతుడా పో పోరా శ్రీ మంతుడా!
